What do you do at Gloo? I set up and manage digital marketing campaigns for our clients to help them promote their business to the relevant target audience. So I spend most of my time deep in Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager!
What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? I have loved Manchester United from a very young age and was motivated to create a fan page online, which ignited my passion for the online world. I studied software engineering and business administration, focusing on marketing, which both furthered my skills and allowed me to develop my career in digital marketing. However, the initial inspiration definitely came from Sir Alex Ferguson. He motivated me to aim high, how to win, and how to be an all-round ambitious person.
What’s been one of your best professional accomplishments? I worked on a product launch campaign at Huawei, and I came up with an idea that reduced the cost of advertising but increased the conversion rate to achieve a really competitive return on investment. For that campaign, I was given the top marketing award for the region. The project has since become a case study for new staff in the consumer business group.
What do you like about working at Gloo? The team. Everyone is very supportive and helpful, which I really appreciate.
What are the values that drive you? Success and perfection in performance
What’s your favourite quote? I love so many quotes and good uses of wordplay, which is one of the reasons I'm into hip hop. A couple of my favourites are "Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion" - Rudy Tomjanovich, "Love you cause you hate me more, I'm Kobe on the Lakers floor." - The Game, and "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." - Muhammad Ali.
What are your top 3 favourite podcasts/books? Some of my favourite books are The Lord of the Rings, Fight Club, Dan Brown’s books, The Hunger Games, and Harry Potter.
What are your hobbies and interests?I love online gaming, watching movies and series, listening to music, fashion and lifestyle content production and, of course, watching my beloved Manchester United.
What are your favourite travel destinations? One of my favourite places is the Old Trafford stadium in Manchester. A future adventure I would love to go on is to have a campervan and travel around Europe on a road trip.
What personal projects are you working on? I've had a podcast story I've been working on that needs completing, but my bigger priority recently has been learning about Hobart and Tassie since I moved here. I want to get better at Aussie slang!
