In recent years, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra has focused on expanding its target demographic. Traditionally, TSO attendance has comprised mostly of classic music enthusiasts over 50 years old. So, the goal has been to include a younger and more diverse demographic in their audiences.
The TSO Live Sessions were introduced as a way for the orchestra to bring music to their communities. These performances have been referred to as ‘pub gigs with a difference’. They feature a reduced-sized orchestra with food and drink to create a relaxed setting. So, we have created marketing collateral such as brochures and posters that reflect the fun and informal nature of the series.
