What do you do at Gloo? I specialise in graphic design, focusing on branding and the rollout. I also work on design for print, advertising campaigns and refining brand messaging to ensure businesses resonate with their audience on a deeper level.
What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts and have worked in design agencies in Brisbane and Melbourne, sharpening my skills across a range of industries. I also ran my own freelance business for several years, which gave me a unique, hands-on perspective on client relationships and creative problem-solving.
What do you like about working at Gloo? The team! Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Working with such a talented group of people where everyone brings something unique to the table, makes problem-solving both efficient and rewarding.
What are the values that drive you? Curiosity, communication, and sustainability. Curiosity keeps me asking questions; communication ensures those ideas come to life with clarity; and sustainability drives me to think long-term about the impact of the work I do.
What are your top 3 favourite podcasts/books? I’m a fan of thoughtful and introspective content. I like The Minimalists podcast for its perspective on living with less and The Fall of Civilisations with Paul Cooper, history lessons! Recently, I finished The Vegetarian by Han Kang, which was hauntingly beautiful, and Faith, Hope and Carnage by Nick Cave & Sean O’Hagan, a raw conversation about art, spirituality, life and death, strangely comforting.
What are your hobbies and interests? Outside of work, I’m all about balance. I enjoy resting, being with family and friends, listening to records, natural wine, long lunches, and being in nature (natural wine in nature is even better).
What are your favourite travel destinations? This is an eclectic mix, but my favourite travel memories, for different reasons, are cruising the Mekong River in Vietnam, spending my 30th in Nice, France, a little jazz and blues festival in New Orleans and roaming New York City.
